Get Your Blog Posts Indexed In Minutes With PubSubHubPub

by Josh on April 10th, 2010

How would you like to get your blog posts indexed in minutes, instead of hours or days? Well, by using PubSubHubbub it is very simple to do. I’ve been playing around with PubSubHubbub on several of my blogs and I must say that it is pretty damn cool. So what exactly is it? Basically PubSubhubbub is a web-based protocol that hooks into your existing RSS feed and allows your subscribers to get real-time updates whenever your feed gets updated. Not only that, but I’ve noticed that my blogs using PubSubHubbub are getting indexed in minutes with it.

Check out this short video to see how it all works.

If you are running WordPress, it is super simple to start using it.

  1. Download and install the WordPress PubSubHubbub plugin
  2. Activate it
  3. You’re done! The plugin already comes with 2 hubs so it works right away

Now the next time you publish your next post, check how long it takes for Google to index your post by using the query site: You should find that it gets indexed really quickly.
